Your Authority In Human Design: Sacred Truth + Aligned Timing
If your Type is how creative energy moves, your Authority is when it’s right time to move or what ideas are best to act on.
Your Authority is your internal GPS. It is your creative intuition. It’s subtle but powerful, informing your timing and choices so creation unfolds naturally instead of being forced.
I’ve offered Tarot Companions for each authority to help you connect to the power and essence of this type of authority; however, trust which cards feel right for you.
🌊 Emotional Authority: Ride the Wave
If you have Emotional Authority, you are either a Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, or Manifestor.
Your creativity moves in emotional waves. There will be moments of inspiration that lift you up, paired with fears or doubts that pull you under like a rip tide. While both are intense, neither is the time to decide.
You may choose to create during either of these high/low tides, but allow yourself time for emotional clarity, the calm after the swell, and what still feels true after the wave has moved through you.

🔥 Sacral Authority: Follow The Fire
If you have Sacral Authority, you are either a Generator or a Manifesting Generator.
Your body tells you everything you need to know. When something lights you up, you’ll feel it as a full-bodied yes. When it feels flat or heavy, that’s a sacred “no” or “not right now.”
Create when your energy ~hums~ with excitement. Rest when it doesn’t. The more you honor that yes/no cycle, the more your creativity will feel sustainable.

🌿 Splenic Authority: Trust the Whisper
If you have a Splenic Authority, you are a Projector or Manifestor.
Your intuition speaks quietly and in the moment. You might feel a sudden pull to start a project, reach out to a collaborative partner, or shift directions for no logical reason.
Trust those quick hits of instinct because they fade from analysis and overthinking. Your creative flow thrives when you listen to that immediate hit of clarity and give it room to move.

❤️ Ego or Heart Authority: Create From Desire
If you have Ego/Heart Authority, you are a Manifestor or Projector.
Your creativity runs on desire and willpower. You’re meant to create what you truly want, not what you think you “should”.
When your heart is in it, creativity follows more easily. You could move mountains when your desire is there! But when it fades, rest instead of pushing through. The willpower returns when your heart is ready to create again.

🌈 Self-Projected or Identity Authority: Authenticity or Bust
If you have Self-Projected or Identity Authority, you are a Projector.
You create from truth. Clarity comes when you express yourself freely through words, movement, or creativity that feels like an honest reflection of who you are.
If something feels off, it probably is. When your creative work feels aligned with your identity, that’s the sweet spot. Authenticity will always guide you right.

🌬️ Mental/Environmental Authority: Surroundings Speak
If you have Mental/Environmental Authority, you are a projector.
Your clarity lies in your environment and in conversation. You think and feel best when you are in the right space, surrounded by energy that supports who you are.
When your environment feels safe and nourishing, ideas click into place with ease. Trust that wisdom.

🌙 Lunar (Reflector) Authority: Wait for the Cycle
If you have Lunar Authority, you are a Reflector.
You create in rhythm with the Moon. Give yourself a full lunar cycle (about 28 days) to sit with an idea before deciding. You can create in the meantime, but don’t put any pressure on yourself to “know” what it’s going to be or how it will turn out.
Also, watch how it feels through each phase. With the new, full, and waxing phase, your energy will shift, offering you valuable bits of information that can come together as the whole picture.
