1:1 Copy Mentoring Client Agreement

As the Client, you agree to:

Show up on time, feeling prepared and excited to participate in your Copy Mentoring Session.
Be clear on exactly what you’d like to focus on during our call. Your pre-call questionnaire will assist in dialing into our focus, but if you need additional assistance, just reach out. If you continue to feel unclear after you complete the form, please reach out to me promptly to discuss options.
Complete your Pre-Call Questionnaire at least seven (7) days before your appointment.
Send me all relevant copy and information at least seven (7) days before our appointment via Shared Google Drive Folder and/or email.
Be an empowered co-creator of your Copy Mentoring Session, i.e., engage in a two-way dialogue, welcome in your business wisdom, and share your reflections.
Have realistic expectations around what can be accomplished during a 60-minute call.
For the Post-Call Copy Review, you agree to send your draft within 2 weeks of our call.

As your Copy Coach/Mentor, I am committed to:

Show up fully present, prepared, on time, and excited to work together.
Set realistic expectations around what we can accomplish during the course of our call.
Review your Pre-call Questionnaire prior to our call and follow up with questions.
On the live call, keep us focused on the goal you identified.
When ending the call, identify 1-3 strategic action steps for the next steps for your copy.
End our appointment on time to respect your time and those with an appointment after you.
Complete a Post-Call Copy Review if your draft is submitted within 2 weeks of your Copy Mentoring Session.

Copy Mentoring Session Guidelines

Our appointments will start and end at the agreed-upon time.
Your appointment will be automatically recorded, if you would like to opt out of recording your session, please notify me before our appointment.
A Copy Mentoring Session can only focus on a single piece of copy, or a single big-picture strategy question. If you want to work on copy outside the scope of this, I may invite you to schedule another Copy Mentoring Session or choose a more in-depth package.

Post-Call Copy Review (Optional, but Encouraged!)

Within 2 weeks after your Copy Mentoring Session ends, please take the time to work on your copy and send me an updated draft.
I’ll provide concise, targeted feedback to take it to the next step in the process.
The Post-Call Copy Review is only for the copy or topic we focused on during your Copy Mentoring Session. If you have questions about a different copy project, we can address those in a separate Copy Mentoring Session session.
Due to scheduling limitations, if you send your copy after this two-week window, I will not be able to review it. However, you are welcome to schedule another Copy Mentoring Session with me if you’d like continued support.
If you do not send me anything within that two-week window, no worries! This is additional support if you need the accountability to work on your project.

Booking and Payment

Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Show Policy

Refunds are not available after the appointment is completed.
Due to the time spent reviewing your copy and preparing for your call, you must cancel at least 1 week (7 days) before your appointment. If you cancel less than 7 days before your appt, you will be responsible for the full price of your consultation.
If you come to a session late, it will still have to end at the agreed-upon time out of consideration to those who have appointments after yours.
If you do not show up (i.e., no-show) for the appointment, you will be charged the full price of the consultation.
You may reschedule your session one (1) time without additional cost. If you need to reschedule again, you will be charged for an additional session.

Service Scope and Limitations

During these calls, I will stay within my scope of offering copywriting strategy and/or business advice and guidance. I cannot provide legal or financial advice.
